Two Energetic Couples have Climbed Three Mountains to Raise Money

Two energetic couples have climbed three mountains in as many days to raise money for North West Cancer Research Fund.

Ann and Ronald Padmore from Rufford and Jean and Robert Medway from Burscough climbed the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales.� Their efforts in scaling Ben Nevis, Scafell and Snowdon raised �872.00.

North West Cancer Research Fund has 40 voluntary committees across the region including Burscough, Ormskirk and Aughton.� The Fund makes available between �750,000 and �1 million every year for fundamental research into the causes of cancer.� Throughout its 56 year history, over 90p in every � raised has consistently been spent directly on research.
