QUIZ NIGHT RAISES ALMOST �900 FOR NORTH WEST CANCER RESEARCH FUND

Twenty-six teams competed in the event at Penketh & Sankey Royal British Legion.
The quiz was organised by the Warrington committee of NWCRF. One of the highlights of the evening was a raffle which included four tickets to a Warrington Wolves rugby league match.
Anne Jackson, NWCRF�s marketing manager and chairman of the Warrington committee, said: �We only launched the Warrington committee in April this year so to get this kind of response was fantastic. We were delighted so many people supported the evening and helped us raise �873.78.
�Our thanks also go to Warrington Wolves and local hairdressers O�Neills.�
NWCRF was founded in 1948 and provides grants to support fundamental research into the causes of cancer. On average just under 90p in every pound donated has been put into actual research.
