CHARITY CONCERT IN AID OF NORTH WEST CANCER RESEARCH FUND

Choirs and brass bands from Crosby, Liverpool and Formby are joining together to raise money for local cancer research.

The choir of St Faith's Church in Crosby, The Liverpool Youth Choir and The Formby Brass Band are staging a special concert in aid of North West Cancer Research Fund.� The Fund, which is based in Liverpool has voluntary committees across the region including Liverpool and Southport.

The concert programme will consist of individual pieces by each group and joint items of choirs and band�

It will take place on 16 October at St Faith's Church, Crosby Road North in Great Crosby starting at 7.30 pm.� Tickets cost �6 (�5 concessions).� Tea, coffee and wine will be available during the interval at a cost of 50p and �1.

All proceeds will be donated by North West Cancer Research Fund.� The charity makes available between �750,000 and �1 million every year for fundamental research into the causes of cancer.� Virtually all of this money is raised through voluntary efforts and donations.� Throughout its 56 year history, over 90p in every � raised has consistently been spent directly on research.
