A word from our Chairman

Thank you for visiting our website. We are proud to have a site that is simple to navigate and provides visitors with factual and helpful information about the work of the Fund.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Fund over the last year.  It has been a very successful year for us and soon you will be able to read all about our amazing volunteers efforts in the 2006/07 Annual Report.  This will be available from May 2008.  You can also take a look at our 05/06 Annual Report which is available as a download from this site or the team at Oxford Street will be happy to send you a copy if you wish.

Please take your time and browse our site, there may have been more changes since the last time you visited.  Our 'News' page is regularly updated and gives important information on forthcoming events and the work of our devoted fundraisers.  Learn more about our 2007 London Marathon runners and why not follow their support and run in the 2008 Marathon?   You can also read about the exciting new Board Game, Cash-Trap, you can buy it online from this site by going to our Shop or Links pages.  For every game purchased this way, we will get 10% of the purchase price!  An excellent Birthday present idea.

This site is updated regularly and will continue to improve and develop. We value your opinion and please do let us know if there are areas that you would like to see developed further or indeed, if there are topics that are not covered at all.

Cancer is a dreadful disease and without research we will never be able to secure a healthy future for the next generation. You can help us to reach our goal and our message remains the same:

  • Help us find the causes of cancer
  • We raise funds in the region to support research in the region
  • We support the local centres of excellence for cancer research
  • We strive to ensure quality research

Our track record shows that we give value for money donated. For every £1 of income, nearly 90p goes into research.

With the valued hard work of our regular volunteers and the amazing individuals who continue to raise money on our behalf (often linked with extreme exercise and maybe a touch of madness!) we can continue to fund just under £1 million pounds worth of research every year.

Thank you for your interest in The North West Cancer Research Fund and please come back and visit the site regularly, the content will be constantly updated for your benefit.
